RedPrairie has delivered a workforce management solution (WFM) to South African retailer Woolworths South Africa. The solution will improve the in-store customer experience for Woolworth that aims to deliver high quality products to consumers at affordable prices.
"We are constantly improving our information technology to enhance customer service and productivity. The implementation of RedPrairie's workforce management system will play a big part in that process," said Adrian Gebers, head of IT Business Applications, Woolworths South Africa.
RedPrairie is a global supply chain and retail technology provider with a local office in Johannesburg. It leverages engineered standards and demand-based forecasts for its WFM solution for optimizing scheduling, task assignment, and performance measurement.
Looking forward, RedPrairie’s WFM solution will help Woolworths to leverage point of sale data to generate accurate forecasting and to improve compliance with optimized schedules.
The South African retailer will also be able to provide its managers with visibility of key performance indicators and tools to manage performance. This will ensure that the right people are available in the right place at the right time and thus improving customer experience for the organization.
"We are delighted to have this opportunity to support Woolworths in South Africa with our workforce management solution. The performance management capabilities of our workforce solution will enable Woolworths to better serve its customers by more efficiently managing its workforce," said Andrew Kirkwood, senior vice president, RedPrairie.
RedPrairie was in news earlier this month for announcing its 2012.1 product release that connects supply chain execution capabilities to the store and commerce sites so that retailers, manufacturers and distributors can achieve visibility and accuracy.
