Kronos and Google Pursue the SMB Cloud Workforce Management Market
Small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) haven’t fared that well when it comes to enterprise grade solutions, but all that is set to change with the recent development in information and communications technologies (ICT). The increased adoption of these solutions has changed the mindset of large software and hardware companies, who are now seeing SMBs as highly lucrative. Kronos and Google (News - Alert) have come together to do just that, with a new software development partnership that will bring both of their products together seamlessly in the cloud so SMBs can access it with greater ease.
Kronos (News - Alert) Incorporated provides global workforce management solutions in the cloud in more than 100 countries to tens of thousands of customers, including more than half of the Fortune 1000. The solutions the company provides are designed to introduce new levels of efficiency by controlling labor costs, minimize compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity.
The partnership with Google will use the Kronos Workforce Ready cloud suite to bring in Google for Work and Google Apps for Work, so SMBs can better manage their workforce to boost productivity, increase employee engagement and improve the efficiency of the workplace.
Workforce Ready is a complete automation system that provides high-quality information for managing the workforce of an organization. Using a unified workforce management platform with a common user interface, database, and workflows, it gives companies the tools for managing the entire lifecycle of an employee, from pre-hire to retirement. As a single source of real-time data, administrators can access information across time and attendance, HR, payroll, scheduling and more.
Customers that currently use Kronos and Google for Works will be able to integrate many of the tools in Google Apps for Works with Workforce Ready to provide the tools that are needed for collaboration and communications along with the familiar Google applications, such as Gmail, Drive, Maps, Sheets, Forms, Sites and Calendar.
“Google is synonymous with bringing the benefits of consumer technology to the business world. Together we will make it easier for organizations and their employees to communicate while providing innovative workforce management and HR solutions to differentiate themselves from the competition,” said Bob DelPonte, vice president and general manager, small and midsize business, Kronos
With more than two million paid businesses currently using Google Apps for Work and more than one million Kronos Workforce Ready and Kronos SaaShr system users every day, the partnership already has a ready customer base that will greatly benefit from this union.
