HotSchedules, Agilysys Develop POS and Scheduling for Hospitality Market
Two somewhat unlikely entities – HotSchedules and Agilysys – have joined forces to create new point of sale (POS) and labor management software for the hospitality industry.
HotSchedules develops applications that improve operations in restaurants; Agilysys develops the InfoGenesis POS for secure processing of payments at hospitals and care centers. Together, they expect to help existing hospitality clients create schedules up to 75 percent quicker and eliminate labor costs by an average of two percent. Jim Dennedy, the CEO of Agilysys, spoke about his positive impression of this partnership and the effect it will have on their target market.
“HotSchedules is the market leader in restaurant labor management, and we are extremely impressed with the depth of features, technical maturity, and continued focus on innovation,” Dennedy said. “Through this unique relationship, Agilysys is the first to offer this type of innovative combined solution to the hospitality industry. This comprehensive solution suite delivers the simplicity and visibility customers need to manage their entire operation, now and into the future.”
Agilysys comes to this partnership through HotSchedules’ new Global Channel Partnership Network. Its more than 3000 existing enterprise customers will now have the opportunity to take advantage of a POS system that can save them time and money while also offering tools that can expand their operations. Specifically, clients will be able to leverage connections to their POS, thermometers, display screens, and even employee mobile devices as they link through the Internet of Things.
Just as restaurants have used the Internet of Things to link devices in their own locations or multiple locations, hospitals and care centers can do the same. IT administrators can collect data about all the devices within a physical location to determine how they are used throughout a work day. When analyzed correctly, clients can make changes in their operations to save money and work more efficiently.
This latest partnership should also benefit from the expertise that PeopleMatter recently added to HotSchedules’ workforce. With those two companies now merged, their effect on HotSchedules tools should serve to further assist clients to make their own businesses run better.
