SurveyMonkey Leads the Industry with Employee Benefits for Contractors & Vendors

SurveyMonkey, the world's leading People Powered Data platform, announced today a new set of standards to ensure contract workers and employees who work with the company through third-party commercial services receive better health benefits, improved time-off policies, and transportation subsidies. The move is part of the company's commitment to create a great workplace for all employees-including extended team members from on-site janitorial and food services-who help make SurveyMonkey one of the 2018 Best Workplaces in the Bay Area by Great Places to Work and FORTUNE.

"Our extended workforce makes an impact on our company every day. From the incredible chefs in our kitchen, to the janitorial staff who keep our office beautiful, and contractors who help shoulder the load as we grow, our vendors play a vital role in SurveyMonkey's success," said Becky Cantieri, Chief People Officer, SurveyMonkey. "We're thrilled to work with our valued partners to bring a new standard of health benefits to support our family of contractors and on-site services, and hope it inspires others to do the same."

SurveyMonkey, in close collaboration with i2i benefits and Insurance Services, developed a framework of benefits for vendor partners that better align to what the company's employees enjoy. SurveyMonkey is working with Bay Area companies Clean & Green, Bon Appétit Management Company, and Eastridge Workforce Solutions who provide janitorial services, on-site catering, and workforce management resources, respectively, to implement these standards by later this year. The new standards are now largely in place with vendors in San Mateo and will be part of the company's annual benefits review moving forward.

"SurveyMonkey has worked tirelessly with i2i benefits and their vendors over the past few months to develop a set of benchmarks that raise the bar on employee benefits," said Dan Maass, President of Employee Benefits at i2i Benefits and Insurance Services. "SurveyMonkey's commitment to financially supporting their partners to help them meet these new standards is a testament to their dedication to the local community."

"I started my company with just four other employees and SurveyMonkey was my first corporate client. They've become like family to us as we've grown over the last 16 years," said Rocio Vargas, Founder and CEO of Clean & Green. "Their counsel and financial support throughout the transition to our new set of standards has been instrumental in helping me take even better care of my employees-it makes a real difference in their lives."

"SurveyMonkey continues to push the boundaries of what the standard is for employee benefits," said Derrick Lau, Executive Chef, Bon Appétit. "As a Bon Appétit employee, we recognize our entire company as a family. As a vendor to SurveyMonkey, we are also recognized as part of their family. It's this mutual respect that creates a great experience for our team and our customers."

"SurveyMonkey sets the tone for how contingent workers should be considered. Offering meaningful benefits to all workers helps companies attract and retain top talent," said Benjamin Jack, Managing Director, Eastridge Workforce Solutions. "Our most successful workforce programs are with clients who challenge the status quo, value contractors, and appreciate long term partnerships."
