TCP Software Recognized as a Leader and Innovator in NelsonHall's New World Workforce Management Report

TCP Software, a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced that it has been named a leader in four categories in NelsonHall's NEAT charts, as shown in the full report, New World Workforce Management.

The report evaluates how workforce management vendors are adapting to a post-pandemic era. TCP was positioned as a Leader in the Overall, IoT Focus, Cost Value and Employee Engagement categories. The company was also positioned as an Innovator in the Multi-Country Focus category.

As the market experienced significant consolidation in 2020, including TCP's December 2020 acquisition of Humanity, companies were measured against greater people engagement to support fluid workforce needs and availability as part of the post-pandemic approach. This is based on a consumer approach, higher speed digital deployment and improved use of automation to better manage the speed of business change. Companies also had to demonstrate the ability to support flexible configuration, as well as the continued development of employee communication functionality.

TCP offers a comprehensive portfolio of workforce management capabilities, including labor and job costing, leave management, employee scheduling and reporting/analytics. As its customers had to adapt to remote or hybrid work, including those that needed to have employees work in-person, TCP worked to update its product offerings to help its customer base nvigate the challenges of the pandemic and ensure that employers were keeping their employees safe by monitoring for any signs of illness.

For NelsonHall's NEAT charts, TCP met the following criteria:

  • Overall market: Reflects TCP's overall ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its workforce management clients.
  • Employee engagement focus: Reflects TCP's ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its workforce management clients with specific capability in communications tools for shift management, employee helpdesk/chatbot offerings and sentiment analysis as well as configuration flexibility for managers to create new employee groupings as needed.
  • IoT focus: Reflects TCP's ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its workforce management clients with specific capability for touchless punching and connecting to IoT technologies such as geo-fencing, geo-punching, temperature check hardware and integrating with access controls.
  • Cost value: Reflects TCP's ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its workforce management clients with specific capability in supporting a value-based innovation approach, including a focus on cost savings.
  • Multi-country focus: Reflects TCP's ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its workforce management clients with specific capability in multi-country service.

Liz Rennie, Principal Research Analyst with NelsonHall's HR Technology & Services practice, said, "TCP Software is a Leader in the Overall Workforce Management Technology market, being an innovative player with capabilities that strongly align with what clients perceive as necessary for meeting their future needs. The high ranking awarded to TCP resulted from its innovative product design, delivering a top-rated mobile application rated 4.9 stars out of 5 from 23,000 reviews and includes an integrated message wall feature and shift trading, which were critical to support periods of covid outbreak disruption. Further, the client value of TCP's service is perceived as very high. Its industry-specific solutions such as government, education, retail and healthcare place TCP in a solid position to support future workforce management needs."

"As a company that has focused on providing robust workforce management capabilities for our customers, it's encouraging to receive this recognition from NelsonHall," said Leslie Bodnar, chief marketing officer, TCP Software. "Since our customers have had to adapt to a new world of work over the last 18 months, we've prided ourselves on offering the services and tools they need to manage their workforces effectively and safely."
