Ultimate Software Releases UtiliPro HCM Spring Edition
Ultimate Software, a vendor of unified human capital management SaaS (News - Alert) products for global businesses, has announced the Spring 2011 release of UltiPro HCM.
All UltiPro SaaS customers will be live on UltiPro’s Spring 2011 update. Ultimate plans three major updates to its HCM suite this year, with additional releases to support compliance requirements as necessary.
The latest edition of UltiPro, according to company officials, provides what they describe as “enhanced functionality for visibility into a global workforce,” and adds new talent management capabilities, as well as extending Ultimate’s portfolio of Web Services-based application protocol interfaces.
“Business agility demands HCM tools that can help organizations understand the landscape of their current workforce,” said Adam Rogers, chief technology officer and senior vice president of product development at Ultimate Software.
UltiPro now allows users to navigate through the application via search, just like they can do with consumer Web apps.
Ultimate officials say they’re responding to “growing demand for visibility into the entire multinational organization.” To that end they’ve included global compensation management and reporting functions, including budgeting and forecasting for global workforce compensation, enhanced currency conversion for country-specific reporting and global compensation analysis and other standard reports on global employee demographics and compensation.
They’ve also improved their performance management features, with such tweaks as more flexible 360-degree reviews with adjustable rating scales and the ability to allow for a variety of contributors outside of the default review path.
Users also have the capability for feedback on employee goals and competencies, in addition to performance, with feedback weighting based on role, and configurable employee competency assignment by both HR administrators and managers.
In March TMC’s (News - Alert) Calvin Azuri reported that UltiPro was implemented by Revlon as its exclusive HCM system of record for the company’s U.S.-based operations.
A heavily customized in-house system was used by Revlon for 20 years. A state-of-the-art HCM able to deliver end-to-end capabilities was therefore required by Revlon. UltiPro was selected by Revlon for its speed of deployment, business intelligence and reporting tools.
Other factors which Revlon considered while selecting UltiPro include full span of roles-based, configurable HCM features, and SaaS delivery model.
