Compeat Revolutionizes Workforce Management

By Anuradha Shukla, Workforce Management Contributor

Compeat Restaurant Management Systems is revolutionizing restaurant labor management with the release of a complete labor management solution called Compeat Workforce. This complete labor management solution delivers time and attendance, forecasting, and labor scheduling to the restaurant. In addition, it also offers a portal for the restaurant staff called myWorkforce.

Designed for employees and managers, myWorkforce allows users to view and request changes to their schedules via desktop or mobile devices.

“We are excited about the employee portal,” said Frank Ramos, general manager at Ruth's Chris Steak House. “With the manager portal I'll be able to see schedule requests and post changes anywhere I have Internet connection – even on my mobile device!”

Other features of Compeat Workforce include configurable wage calculation sets to address variable overtime and minor law compliance, forecasting for labor requirements, and a labor scheduler.

This solution can be integrated with a restaurant's, human resource system, and payroll system or service. Deployment of the solution is promised to deliver decreased labor costs, and reduces hours for restaurant managers.

“Workforce revolutionizes restaurant labor management. The entire process from hiring, through scheduling, time tracking, and wage calculation, and with integration to Human Resources and Payroll systems or services, is all automated and in one common system,” said Dave Douglas, VP of business development for Compeat. “Workforce gives managers and employees much more efficiency, freedom, and flexibility.”

Looking forward, Compeat Restaurant Management Systems will develop an employee on-boarding module that includes features for recruiting, application submission, applicant screening, actual hiring, and new employee training.

The on-boarding module is scheduled to be released in Q1 2013.

Compeat Restaurant Management Systems was in news last year for announcing the release of a new restaurant back office management system, Compeat Enterprise.
