Bigtincan to Acquire ClearSlide for Leadership in Sales Enablement

Bigtincan is an artificial intelligence (AI) powered sales enablement automation platform designed to help sales and service teams learn faster, sell smarter, and be more productive. The product was created to deliver a user experience that empowers sales representatives to more effectively engage with customers and prospects. Now, the company has announced it plans to acquire ClearSlide, Inc. ClearSlide is a San Francisco-based software-as-a-service sales engagement platform that lets users share content and sales materials via email links or their viewer's link in a “live pitch.”


The acquisition deal combines two string players in the sales enablement space bringing together a more complete solution for sellers to engage buyers in the digital world, said the companies. By combining ClearSlide's sales engagement capabilities with Bigtincan's sales readiness and sales asset management capabilities, Bigtincan will create a complete solution for sellers to learn, access sales assets, and engage with buyers virtually or in person.

"The sales enablement market continues to grow, and with market growth comes consolidation,” said analyst Jim Lundy, founder and CEO of Aragon Research, in a statement. “The Bigtincan acquisition of ClearSlide brings together two market leaders in Sales Enablement that combined will make Bigtincan one of the largest providers in the market.”

With the acquisition by Bigtincan, ClearSlide, which has a large customer base including Starwood Hotels and Resorts, GoDaddy and Vice Media Group, is expected to benefit from access to new remote coaching and learning software, document automation, and will be able to leverage Bigtincan's sales enablement solutions to transform their buyer/seller experience.
