McLaren Racing Partners with Immersive Labs, Accelerating Cyber Risk Protections
Formula 1 racing is a top motorsport and one of the fastest track runs in the world. In addition to being a dream for any racer, it’s a sport that requires a high level of fine tuning and detailed data to beat the competition. Understanding the important role teams play in winning these races, McLaren Racing has joined up with tech company Immersive Labs to provide cyber workforce optimization tools for its McLaren F1 team.
As an official partner, the team will be using the Immersive Labs Platform and will also use the company’s branding on both of their F1 race cars for the 2022 season. For example, on the front suspension arms of the McLaren MCL35M cars from the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
With Immersive Labs platform, organizations can measure, map risk, and optimize human cyber abilities so that security strategies are always strong.
As per the partnership deal with McLaren Racing, the platform will deliver intellectual property and data to keep the team protected from potential cyber risks. Using a combination of real-time data, skills and judgement they will provide cyber skills development to help both the tech and non-tech teams react best in cyber crisis situations.
Real time data is important to the team in everything they do. From pit stop performance improvements to cyber security, they wanted to partner with a company with the best in class solutions for staying ahead in today’s threat landscape.
“People and technology are critically important elements of our team, and we are excited to work with Immersive Labs to support in developing the human cyber capabilities which will empower us to better navigate risk. We operate at a race pace both on and off-track, and we look forward to this partnership accelerating the human element of our cyber security,” said Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing.
