Rio Grande Governments Council Chooses Carbyne for Cloud 911 Contact Center
Cloud-native contact center solution developer Carbyne announced a new partnership with the Rio Grande Council of Governments(RGCOG) in Texas, in order to bring critical emergency service contact support to the cloud.
Carbyne deployed its APEX cloud-based contact center solution for five public access safety points with the support of AT&T (News - Alert)'s Emergency Services IP Network. This new approach will provide emergency call center agents with the reliable connectivity and vast coverage needed to support citizens, and while also providing accurate data for first responders.
Alex Dizengof, Carbyne's CTO said,"Our Carbyne APEX solution runs on an i3 Emergency Services IP Network, which directly addresses this challenge and replaces analog components of the past with satellite connectivity that works across county border lines, removing all obstacles and connecting PSAP call-takers directly to emergency situations."
Notable features of the APEX solution include live video support for callers, silent instant messaging and 9-1-1 by text, IoT data aggregation, and call transcription. First responders gain access to highly accurate location tracking, reducing time to find citizens in crisis.
Additionally, this announcement marks the first time ever a cloud-based emergency contact center solution is using i3 specifications, which support advanced capabilities for ESInet(Emergency Services IP Network) connections.
"Presidio County, like its neighboring counties, covers sparsely populated areas that are large in their geography,” added Judge Cinderela Guevara of Presidio County Texas. “We are challenged daily with our 9-1-1 services. Our residents deserve the same kind of technology that urban communities are using. Through the implementation of Carbyne c-Live, we will now have the capability to ensure our residents are being taken care of."
